Mékong Association Humanitaire
is a non-profit-making association , which aims at bringing
support in the medical field and in schools, in Vietnam.
Mékong Association Humanitaire
was created in 1993, by 5 students from ICN, Business school situated in Nancy, within the context of a study project in their first year. After one year mandate, the association is handed over to the students of the following year; a training, provided by the former students guarantees the continuity of our aid.
Thus, Mékong has existed and taken action for 15 years in Vietnam..
At first, it aimed at supporting the French-speaking world in Vietnam, by sending books and school stationery (more than 30 000 books have been sent to Huê, in central Vietnam).
Then, the association preferred to focus on bringing support in the medical field and schools in Hôi An, and on promoting the Vietnamese culture in France. The medical pole of Mékong gathered a team of doctors, surgeons, anaesthesists, nurses, who did hundreds of operation at the Hôi An’s hospital every year. Moreover, according to the needs, a part of our funds is devoted to buying medical supplies.
